Unless you like the kind of work, the surroundings and the colleagues. That is more important than the salary, as long as the salary is enough to live for of course.

I don't agree with you. From my POV, I'd rather be in a good mood about my work and earn less than be feelin shitty and earn more.

Yes, you are right. But if before I get the job I don't know nothing about my pay, I think I wouldn't meet my possibles mates. I didn't accept to work there.

Here it's normal to take a tour of the work place and see how it is there before talking too much about expectations etc.
I totally see why you rejected it, especially if you live a place where there’s no unions and/or minimum wages to ensure fairness.
