This snack is loved by everyone, both kids and adults. The recipe for this chicken fry and French fry is very easy to make and tastes amazing. Ingredients for chicken fry 🍗:
1.Chicken pieces – 500 grams (small to medium size)
2.Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
3.Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
4.Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
5.Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
6.Black pepper powder – ½ teaspoon
7.Salt – as needed
8.Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon (optional for extra flavor)
9.Cornflour – 2 tablespoons
10.All-purpose flour (maida) – 2 tablespoons
11.Egg – 1
12.Water – as needed (to make the batter)
13.Oil – for deep frying.
Making process (chicken fry)🍗:
Wash and prepare the chicken:
Clean the chicken pieces well and drain the water completely.
Marinate the chicken:
In a bowl, add the chicken pieces, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix everything well so all the spices coat the chicken evenly.
Add coating ingredients:
Now add cornflour, all-purpose flour (maida), and one egg to the marinated chicken. Mix everything well to form a thick batter.
If needed, add a small amount of water to adjust the consistency.
Make sure each chicken piece is nicely coated.
Rest the chicken:
Keep the marinated chicken aside for about 30 minutes. This helps the flavors to soak in.
Heat the oil:
Take a deep frying pan, pour enough oil, and heat it on medium flame.
Fry the chicken:
Once the oil is hot, gently drop the chicken pieces one by one. Fry them on medium flame until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Drain the excess oil:
Take out the fried chicken pieces and place them on tissue paper to absorb extra oil.

2.Salt – as needed
3.Water – for soaking
4.Cornflour – 2 tablespoons (optional, for extra crispiness)

Making process (French fry)🍟:
Peel and cut the potatoes:
Wash the potatoes well, peel them, and cut them into long, thin strips (like regular French fries). Try to keep the sizes even so they cook properly.
Soak in water:
Put the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 15–20 minutes. This removes extra starch and makes the fries crispier.
Boil slightly (optional but helpful):
Boil some water with a little salt. Add the potato strips and boil for 3–4 minutes only — don’t make them too soft. Then drain the water completely.
Dry the potatoes:
Spread the potato strips on a clean cloth or tissue paper and let them dry properly. You can even keep them in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to make them firmer.
Coat with cornflour (optional):
Sprinkle a little cornflour on the dried potato strips and mix gently. This gives extra crispiness after frying.
First fry (half fry):
Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Add the potato strips and fry them lightly until they turn pale yellow. Take them out and let them cool.
Second fry (for crispiness):
Increase the flame to high and fry the half-fried potatoes again until they turn golden brown and crispy.
Drain and season:
Take the fries out and place them on tissue paper to remove extra oil. Sprinkle a little salt (and chili powder or black pepper if you like).
Serve hot:
