I've worked Holidays too often, being in the vital Nursing profession in an understaffed facility does have a lot of financial incentives to perform more more but there is always a cost; in lost time with family, added wear and tear on our health or both.

And you told the truth plainly. The money may come, but the cost is real. Time you cannot get back. Health you cannot bargain with.
