Diesmal hat es mit dem Vorbestellen von Snacks bei meinem Austrian-Rückflug ohne Probleme funktioniert.
Habe mir wieder ein Wiener Schnitzel vorbestellt und es gab diesmal auch ohne Vorbestellung ein Focaccia Tomate Mozzarella on Board verfügbar, das ich dann ebenfalls getestet habe.
Auf einem anderen Austrian-Flug hatte eine Flugbegleiterin einmal unfreundlich behauptet, dass man ohne Vorbestellung überhaupt keine warmen Snacks bekommt.
Das scheint nicht ganz zu stimmen. Aus meiner Erfahrung mit den letzten Flügen scheint es manchmal 1 warmen Snack pro Flug zu geben, den man dann mit etwas Glück auch ohne Vorbestellung bekommen kann, wenn ihn niemand anderer vorher wegkauft.
Besser ist es die Snacks vorzubestellen, da man dann auch einen zusätzlichen 10% Rabatt bekommt.
Man kann die Snacks übrigens auch mit dem Bonusprogramm von Lufthansa (Miles and More) bezahlen, diese sind dann aber verhältnismäßig teuer. Man braucht sehr viele Bonuspunkte (zb 3850 Meilen für ein Schnitzel). Denke es ist besser die Bonuspunkte für einen Flug zu sparen, als für Snacks auszugeben.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Habt ihr schon einmal einen Snack auf einem Lufthansa-Flug vorbestellt bzw. in der Economy-Klasse gekauft?

This time, pre-ordering snacks on my Austrian return flight worked without any problems.
I pre-ordered a Wiener schnitzel again, and this time there was also a tomato and mozzarella focaccia available on board without pre-ordering, which I also tried.
On another Austrian flight, a flight attendant once rudely claimed that you can't get any hot snacks at all without pre-ordering.
That doesn't seem to be entirely true. From my experience with recent flights, there sometimes seems to be one hot snack per flight available, which, with a bit of luck, you can get without pre-ordering if no one else buys it first.
It is better to pre-order the snacks, as you then also get an additional 10% discount.
Incidentally, you can also pay for the snacks with the Lufthansa bonus program (Miles and More), but these are then relatively expensive. You need a lot of bonus points (e.g., 3850 miles for a schnitzel). I think it's better to save your bonus points for a flight than to spend them on snacks.
