Hi Everyone.

Kamukura can be found at most shopping malls in Japan but I never had the chance to try it because if you have been to Japan before, the choices are endless but today is the day to give it a try. The soup broth is known to be delicious with the huge bowl of noodles and toppings. Kamukura’s broth isn’t the heavy tonkotsu you might expect. Instead, it’s a light soup made from pork bones with a generous load of vegetables in the bowl top to bottom. No joke! It’s the kind of soup you could have every day if you feel like something hearty.

I ordered their store #1 Chashu & Seasoned egg ramen. The noodles here are medium-thin, straight, and springy where it can suck up the the broth. The slices of the chashu pork was very thick and the egg was done perfectly. Feel free to add in extra condiments which is available next to the counter when you collect your meal especially the special seasoned shallots and various sauces that might make your noodles extra tasty. I put in extra shallots as I’ve seen online that they make a huge difference to the ramen as it is seasoned differently.

Don’t worry if you can’t speak Japanese, there are English menus and clear pictures to show what is in each bowl of noodles. Once ordered, it will take a few minutes for the staff to make the noodles for you and you just go up to collect it when your number is called. The ramen is priced very well, in line with most outlets at food courts but most importantly you get high quality food for a low price.
