Hi Everyone,
In many cases, food at factory outlets could be pretty simple and sometimes not very good until I found Komeraku at Rinku Town. Located on the 3rd floor of Rinku Dining in the Seaside Area, is a eye-catching donburi (rice bowl) store that brings all the flavours of ochazuke (tea poured over rice) right at the foodcourt. The pictures on the menu looked amazing already without going into much details.
Komeraku serves donburi-style meals, rice bowls transformed into ochazuke that typically cost between ¥1000 and ¥2000. The menu features combos like tuna, salmon, and ikura rice bowls. They even have the special of angus beef bowl for 1815 yen (tax included). I ordered the combination seafood bowl, fresh fish on top of a bowl of hot rice.
We often enjoy the bowl as-is first, then pour on the broth (all very different depending on the receipe the store uses) to turn it into a comforting ochazuk お茶漬け (I call it soup rice). The soup makes the rest of the rice taste extra good once you finish all the topping on top, or if you like me, i would leave a bit of topping on to mix it all in. No words can express my feeling after eat the bowl, it was hearty and fulfilling, nothing I have found like this back home in Australia. The seafood was very fresh and the broth has a nice subtle fish taste.
If you're stopping by Rinku Town, do stop by this yummy place. The foodcourt is modern with lots of seats includes tables, sofas, and counters. There are English menus so you don’t need to worry if you don’t know what to order or how to order.
