How are you all? I hope you are all well and always happy. Meet me again, nice to meet you all. I'm back with my story about visiting a beautiful cafe with delicious drinks.
This time I went with my new friends, haha they are much younger than me but we are very good friends. And we went on Saturday night, enjoying Saturday night together.
The cafe I visited this time was Simpul Cafe, this is a famous and very busy cafe. A comfortable place, especially if you come at night, you will get a night view, and there is live music too.
There are quite a lot of food choices here, and because this cafe calls itself an angkringan cafe or a cafe that sells market snacks, they also sell some snacks available in the market.
However, there are not only snacks here, but also other food options, such as rice with several side dishes, fried rice, soto, noodles, spaghetti, satay and others. There are also various toasts, dim sum, grilled meatballs and other snacks.
For drinks, there are several Indonesian iced drinks, a variety of coffees, from Americano to caramel macchiato, matha, tea, and several other beverage options.
This time I ordered a cup of drink and two snacks.
Milk Tea Jelly
For the drink I ordered Milk tea jelly, milk mixed with tea and added chocolate jelly filling inside. A combination of sweet milk and the distinctive taste of tea. It seems like for this milk tea they use regular black tea, and also for the milk flavor maybe also added creamer. The taste of the drink is quite delicious, although there is no special taste from the drink but it is delicious.
Bakso Bakar
For the first snack I ordered grilled meatballs (Bakso Bakar), when I saw this menu I immediately ordered it because I really like grilled meatballs. The grilled meatballs were then coated with sauce and soy sauce. This is delicious, but unfortunately it is a little more expensive than it should be. Maybe because I imagined the price at the market or street food, even so it is delicious. The meatballs have a soft and chewy texture, with a delicious sweet and spicy sauce.
Roti Bakar
And the second snack is toast (Roti Bakar), I ordered this because I was interested in the name of the menu, namely the most delicious toast in the world haha, an interesting name.
Toast filled with butter and sugar, then sprinkled with torched sugar on top, and also with a scoop of durian ice cream. Delicious but too sweet, very sweet. Maybe because there is already a sugar filling but on top of it added a lot of sugar that makes it very sweet. If there was less sugar, it would definitely be delicious.
And that's a little bit of my story at Simpul Cafe. It's a nice and interesting place, but unfortunately, I didn't like the food. Maybe the other dishes would be better.
