Rib Eye Steaks for dinner just seemed like a grand idea for something extra-special. Afterall it was what we had for our Valentine's Day dinner. I made some scalloped potatoes, a tossed salad, and fried cabbage to top it off.

I had purchased a cabbage when I went shopping and I had prepared it for freezer meals the day before. I just kept some aside for the following day knowing I was having the steaks.

The cabbage was large enough to cut slices for roasting, so I did 4 of those for the freezer.

If you know me at all, I always make multiple meals when I have time and cabbage freezes wonderfully.

Vacuum sealed, labeled and put in the freezer.

I really should have a nice steak dinner more often, as that Rib Eye really hit the spot.

Once the dishes were done, hubby set up the fireplace to have a cozy night while watching a James Bond Movie.

Then came the damage the following day. The ice had built up so much on the roofs that the weight took down the long gutter on the eastern side of the upper roof.

We've lived here for 28 years, and this is the second time that dang gutter has come down from heavy ice. My husband used to go up on the roof and clear the deep snow off the edges, but at 80 years old now, I won't allow it. So, that's going to have to get fixed as soon as the snow and ice all melt off the roof.

Today, it is raining, sleeting, and snowing making everything very icy. This afternoon I have to go to the tax accountant and I'm hoping the roads won't be bad. I am so ready to enjoy some nice spring weather, but we still have another month before that happens. Stay warm and safe everyone.
