I can barely keep up with the crazy number of Raspberries my plants are producing. I've made three batches of jam, two syrups for breakfast toppings, and even some muffins.
You can see how each branch is loaded with berries. They are so sweet and juicy eaten fresh off the vine. I have so many that now I'm having to share them with the neighbors.
The bees are so busy pollinating the plants that we have to wait until after dinner at night to pick the ripe ones. There are two in the photo busy at their task.
The jam is almost ready to be put into the jars and water bath canned for 15 minutes.
I had a little bit left in the pan and made a peanut butter and jam sandwich for lunch. Mind you I never eat that, but it just looked so inviting that I had to try it.
This is my little berry patch, can you believe it could produce so much in one season?
I imagine that I will get many more quarts before the first frost comes. I will put them into the freezer for baking throughout the winter months. Hubby will certainly be looking forward to them. I wish you a wonderful day and happy gardening, preserving, and baking to you.
