The name of kheer makes one's mouth water. Kheer is often made on festivals and happy occasions in India. I too made kheer on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. It is a popular dessert or homemade sweet in every household and the taste of eating it cold is different.
ingredients
Milk - 1 kg full cream
Basmati rice - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Saffron - a few strands
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Dry fruit - as per your choice
Method :-
First of all, wash the rice thoroughly with water and soak it in water for 1/2 hour.
Put the milk in a pan and let it boil
After it boils, add the soaked rice to the milk and stir it with a spoon
Now add saffron and cardamom powder to it
After the kheer starts boiling, turn the gas to low flame and keep stirring it in between.
It takes about 1 hour to cook the kheer.
When the milk and rice are mixed together and the kheer becomes creamy and fluffy, turn off the gas and add sugar to it.
Mix it well
Now garnish it with dry fruits of your choice
Take out the kheer in a bowl and keep it in the freezer for some time
Then we will serve it cold
