Good morning to all Hive friends!
Today, I’ve brought a recipe made with sausages. Sausage dishes are among those quick and tasty meals that can turn an ordinary mealtime into something special. With their rich aroma, creamy texture, and flavorful taste, this recipe beautifully blends the deliciousness of sausages with the warmth of Sri Lankan spices.
Whether it’s for lunch, dinner, or a weekend gathering, this is a comforting homemade dish that everyone loves — a perfect choice for busy days when you still want to enjoy something hearty and full of flavor.
Ingredients...
🌺 5 or 6 sausage pods.
🌺 1 Small onion.
🌺 3 cloves of garlic.
🌺 Curry leaves.
🌺 A tomato.
🌺 1 green chillies,
🌺 2 or 3 fish chili pods.
🌺 A piece of cinnamon.
🌺 1 Teaspoon of chili powder.
🌺 1/2 Teaspoon of curry powder.
🌺 1/2 Teaspoon of Roasted curry powder.
🌺 Salt as needed.
🌺 1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper powder.
🌺 1/2 Cup of coconut milk.
🌺 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
The order of preparation.
Step 1:-
Now, let’s begin by cutting the sausages into long, thin pieces. At the same time, finely slice the onions, garlic, green chilies, tomatoes, and capsicum.
These fresh ingredients will add both flavor and color to your sausage dish.
Step 2:-
Next, take a pan and place it on the stove. Add one tablespoon of coconut oil and let it heat up well. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped garlic, onion, a small piece of cinnamon, and tomatoes. Sauté them gently until they turn slightly soft and aromatic.
Step 3:-
Next, I added the sausage pieces to the pan and mixed them well with the sautéed ingredients. Then, I cooked them until they turned a light golden color, releasing their rich aroma.
Step 4:-
Next, I added the capsicum, curry leaves, and the necessary spices to the pan. Then I added a pinch of salt and mixed everything well, allowing the flavors to blend beautifully.
Step 5:-
Finally, I added a little coconut milk to the mixture and let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes on low heat. Then I removed it from the stove.
In the end, the delicious sausage curry becomes a wholesome and satisfying dish that pairs beautifully with rice, bread, or even string hoppers. The combination of spices and the slight creaminess make it irresistibly tasty, leaving a delightful aroma lingering in your kitchen long after the meal.
