Hi, fellow foodies! How are you? I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your favorite dishes and culinary delights.like this time I want to make an omelette with grated coconut or what we usually call a sour omelette, Asam U—which translates to "coconut acid"—has a taste that is indeed slightly sour, spicy, and savory.I usually make this sour omelet when there are no other dishes at home and only eggs are available, so I get creative and whip this up; it tastes delicious when enjoyed with rice.

Besides rice, eggs from this can also be snacked on just like that. This Asam U omelet is perfect for a home-cooked meal; simple home-style dishes like this often make you eat more rice than usual.

This Telur Asam U recipe was inspired by my grandmother's cooking; she used to make it whenever she needed to serve eggs to the family. Since she had so many children, she would prepare the dish this way to stretch the supply and ensure the eggs could be shared equally among everyone.

And this is also one of the mainstay menus of Acehnese people. This menu is very popular around Aceh.I’ve even noticed that whenever there is a thanksgiving gathering at someone's home, this egg dish is sure to be served.

Four

Fry until cooked through—and don't forget to flip it! Hehe, it looks like the bottom got a little burnt, but don't worry—the rest of it is still fine.

RESULTS

And here is the result—my version of the omelet is ready. It pairs perfectly with rice, especially in the morning, since we often prefer something other than soupy dishes for breakfast. Well, this is the perfect solution; you can simply enjoy this omelet to the fullest.

with this version of omelette I think kids will definitely like it too, But if it is shared with children, perhaps the chili or other spices can be reduced a little so that it doesn't taste spicy and this is a very delicious omelette with a slightly sour, savory and naturally sweet taste.

If you want to make an omelet, try making this version; you only need a handful of grated coconut, a little asam sunti (preserved bilimbi), and other spices.
