I remember when I was just unemployed I'm still one though —errrr, when I was broke, young, and had no source of income. I couldn't even buy a biscuit and always relied on my oldies to have an afternoon merienda. Sadly, they rarely eat snacks for some reasons, and even though I want to eat this biscuit or that bread, I just can't ask them to buy them for me because I'm not that much of a thick-faced btch. Seriously, I'm used to not having any snacks before. But then as I started earning money, I got too complacent and often buy stocks bread for whenever I feel hungry. And I just noticed recently how I have been having too much bread for the past month. I can feel that i'm already having too much.
But really, deep inside me, I am just relieving those childhood cravings I had during my teens that I couldn't satisfy. But I really have to stop having too many snacks now, so yeah, I adjusted my snacking time and don't buy much bread anymore. One thing I also noticed was I get hungry at midnight, but I have a ready supply in my snack jar, so I think my mind and stomach are getting hypnotized to eat those snacks I have in my snack jar. I can't get those snacks out of my head, really. Lol. Fortunately, my eating habit is okay now. I don't get hungry anymore at midnight, and I don't even eat a big serving for dinner either. So I think my eating habit is better now.
Anyways, I just want to share this story of mine, i'm really grateful to Hive because I can buy a lot of snacks now \(^o^)/, of course, still with limit.

Moving on, We still have a lot of Sweet Potato at home, I mean, we can't really eat all that 2 Kilos you know, lol. And so for today's snack, I thought of making sweet potato in syrup - it's actually just sweetened sweet potato, lol. And this one only has four ingredients which are: the sweet potato of course, brown sugar, pinch of salt and water.

I started peeling all of the sweet potato and cut them into cube. While i'm doing the rest, I soaked the already cut ones in the water so that it won't change color. But some of them still change color. But its okay, it's just color it's not like it'll go bad if it change color no. (^∇^)ノ♪

I ready the pan and heat it before putting the sugar. As for the measurement, I am not really sure. You can put any amount if you want it to sweet and its also depends on the size if the sweet potatoes that you'll cook. ╮(^▽^)╭

Next is caramelizing the brown sugar, we'll make it into a syrup yes. Adjust the fire into low heat for it not to get burn.

Once the brown sugar turns into syrup, we'll put next all the sweet potato.

And then, we'll let them bath on the sugar with water, I adjusted the heat into medium heat here by the way. Let it boil!

And after 8 minutes of cooking it, it is finally look like this, completely covered in caramelized sugar. We'll just wait for the sweet potato to soften.

And tadaaaan! Look at that sugar syrup, so thick! But I can also imagine ad sweet as chocolate OMG! I think I mix a lot of sugar that I intended. This would be good already to mix in Halo-Halo -now I am also craving for some Halo-Halo, haha.

I cook it for another five minutes after adding half cup of water because it's not that soft yet. And finally -it looks even more sweeter though, it scream diabetes. I'm eating diabetes today (≧▽≦)

And here's a sweet snacks we had in the morning, I had it as dessert too after lunch. I didn't cook much of this because we also want to try other recipe of Sweet Potato, I'll try making some maybe tomorrow. I'm not sure yet what I would be making though. Let's just see...
\(◎o◎)/
That's a good snacks right there ( /^ω^)/♪♪
