A first for us to see red gooseberries, and that pie looks delicious. Our gooseberries are yellow and they are called Cape Gooseberries, sweet and sour tastes. We had a look on Wikipedia why they are called Cape Gooseberries and its origin, and we were mightily surprised. See for yourself: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physalis_peruviana

In any case the wife reckons that she will follow your recipe, only with yellow gooseberries instead of reds.

Maybe we can even make a !PIZZA topped with the berries :)

        My dad has both red and green in the garden. The green is funny as you need to pay attention to it, to see when it's ripe. It doesn't change color when it is, so you need to constantly monitor it, but it's very tasty. My next pie is going to be with green gooseberries.
