Hi hivers. Today i want to share my baking activity.
This old cake is my favorite childhood cake. The aroma of the cake is very good especially when it just came out of the oven. My mom used to make this cake when there were certain events such as big day or other family events.
I made this cake for 2 20cm round pans. I made this cake for 1 hour and 30 minutes. It's around 40 slices of cake.
Ingredients :
- 8 eggs
- 2 packs all-purpose margarine
- 4 ounces granulated sugar
- 4 ounces flour
- cake emulsifier
- vanilla powder
- sweetened condensed
- succade or candied fruit
- dried raisins
Steps :
First : make the egg white batter
8 eggs - divide the whites and the yokes in separate bowls
Mix using a hand mixer until the texture is stiff and not spilled. Soft peak, i think
Look at the texture, it's so fluffy.
Make the cake batter
Add margarine, sugar, cake emulsifier, and vanilla powder
Mix until fluffy and the color becomes paler
Add the egg yolks one by one while still in the mixer.
And then, add the flour little by little.
When it is mixed and the batter feels heavy add sweetened condensed according to taste, adjust to the desired sweetness
Then mix the egg whites that have been beaten at the beginning with this cake batter
When the dough starts to mix and become soft, turn off the mixer
Add candied fruit and dried raisins, fold it the fruit mix with spatula
Pour the batter into a cake pan that has been greased with margarine so that it does not stick after cooking
Put the pan containing the batter into the oven, I use a preheated manual oven.
Bake the dough until cooked to make sure it is cooked or not, you can use a stick.
If the dough no longer sticks to the toothpick then the cake is done. The aroma is so good. I love it
Cool down and transfer to a plate
The fruit cake is ready to be served.
This fruit cake is perfect with coffee or tea. The texture is not too soft and the texture of the dried fruit adds to the taste.
That's my baking activity. I got the recipe by my mom, thank you ❤️ you can remake this recipe, try it.
