Shrimp Potato Croquettes

Enjoy a delicious meal for lunch by serving spectacular potato croquettes. Savory and soft inside crispy outside with an authentic blend of flavors.



Hi foodie lovers, the experience of making this dish was unforgettable for me. Just yesterday I participated in a government program in our village, related to the stunting prevention pregnancy program. The program invited me and provided a lot of healthy menus to be enjoyed together. At the same time, the main topic was to discuss good nutrition for stunting prevention by nutritionists. Well the dish that made me remember that time was the shrimp croquette. It looked so delicious from the looks of it and when I tasted it, it was indeed that good. I finished a few pcs there that time, and honestly it wasn't enough because it was that good.

Potato croquettes are a combination of boiled potatoes combined with shrimp then coated with egg and fanir flour.



Then fried in hot oil until brownish yellow. Now this croquette itself is served with other side dishes in the form of vegetables or the staple dish of warm white rice. Unfortunately yesterday during the event I did not capture photos of some of these foods.




Well berikuf I will invite you to prepare a potato croquette recipe that is very easy for you to make at home.




Ingredients Used

2 potatoes
½ carrot
1 egg
10 medium prawns
1 duan onion
2 celery leaves
1 tablespoon cornstarch,
¼ teaspoon mushroom stock,
¼ teaspoon salt,
To taste fanir flour




Making procedure


Potatoes and carrots are cut into small pieces and then boiled with boiling water.

Boil until tender and perfectly cooked then drain.

While hot, mash the potatoes and carrots until smooth.

Add cornstarch and also celery and spring onion pieces.

Then stir until evenly distributed and be sure to add salt and also mushroom broth in the dough.

After everything is ready, round it and divide it into several doughs to make it uniform in size. Then don't forget to fill the dough with shrimp, you can peel the shrimp first.

Then after the shape is right, dip it in a beaten egg and then roll it in fanir flour.

Do it until finished then fry with hot oil until brownish yellow.

The texture is very soft, yes mashed potatoes are second to none, especially combined with already whole uhhh is very fitting. Don't forget to marinate the shrimp with salt so that it is not tasteless. The outer layer is also very beautiful crispy once the fanir flour layer does make everything more beautiful.
