Mini Chocolate Sponge Cake Dried

Mini, sweet and crunchy is the result of my rambunctiousness in the kitchen today. I was bored at home and wanted to do something to get my imagination going. One of the alternatives that I usually take is cooking and of course I had to try new recipes. After browsing the internet for a while, I found one of the perfect snacks for me to make today, after all the ingredients are all very complete and I have to do it now.




Dried Mini Sponge Cake

Dried mini sponge cake is a light snack but enough to fill you up. Yeah because it's still got the usual sponge texture inside that I usually enjoy. While on the outside you will enjoy it with a slightly crunchy texture, not hard but crunchy.

Now this mini sponge cake itself can last up to a month if stored in an airtight container. Because the baking process is long and the sponge is very dry.

Ingredients Used

2 eggs
75 grams powdered sugar
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon vanilla powder
100 grams flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
To taste mini baking cups




Cooking Procedure


Combine eggs and sugar and mix until fluffy.

Add vanilla, baking powder and cocoa powder and mix again until evenly combined.

Then add flour, don't forget to sift and stir until evenly mixed.

Then prepare a small cake cup then add the cake batter that was prepared earlier.

Then add the topping on top evenly the cake is ready to bake.

Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes using top and bottom heat with a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius or adjust to each oven.

The dried sponge cake is ready to serve, enjoy it with coffee or hot tea when relaxing is very good. The sponge is simple and easy to make, and this sponge is of course anyone will love it. I really like the small shape so when stored in a jar it looks very pretty. As I said above, this sponge cake can last a long time and is not easily moldy like other sponge cakes in general. So it is very safe to store at room temperature in a jar or airtight container.

In addition, you can also prepare the sponge as a welcome guest at home, well for the topping you can customize it with whatever you like. Including nuts, or chocolate, because I have colored seres so I add it as a topping. The texture of the sponge cake is a little hard on the outside and soft on the inside, well the typical sponge cake is dense so that if you enjoy it, you will be full faster.
