After a long time, I finally found these bananas; my mom bought them from a street vendor yesterday. She said the vendor happened to be a close friend of hers, so she was able to buy them quickly and easily. In Indonesia, these bananas are known as “pisang raja”—they have a truly delicious flavor, whether fried or baked into banana cake, making them the star of the show.
Honey-Fried Banana
Well, today is different from usual—I want to fry bananas with honey, as this recipe is currently very popular in our area. No one is selling it yet, but we can easily find the recipe on social media because it was that viral at the time.

Honey-fried bananas are a combination of ingredients mixed with honey, which serves as the sweetener. To achieve a stunning final result and make them incredibly delicious, the honey is brushed onto the fried bananas. Of course, this makes them even more delicious—even though I don’t use wild honey, store-bought honey is already very tasty. Curious? Let’s check out the recipe.
Ingredients

2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
150 grams all-purpose flour
50 grams cornstarch
½ teaspoon baking powder
20 grams melted butter
¼ teaspoon vanilla powder
Water as needed
Preparation Instructions
Mix the two flours, then add the honey and water while stirring.

Add the melted butter, then stir again until the batter thickens and is smooth.

Peel the bananas and cut them into small pieces as shown in the photo.

Add the bananas to the flour mixture and mix well, then fry in a non-stick pan to form round shapes.

Alternatively, use a mold and fry until golden brown.

Results and Serving Suggestions

Just look at how appetizing the result is! Finally, after they’re cooked, I spread honey evenly over the surface of the fried bananas. To ensure they turn out delicious and look more appealing, make sure to fry them until they’re a deep golden brown.

The combination of banana and batter makes the outside crispy and the inside soft—the crispy batter coating is perfect. There’s a natural sweetness from the honey that tastes absolutely delicious; in my opinion, it’s incredibly tasty and different from other versions. Especially when using plantains, it becomes even more delicious and truly amazing.
