Cous cous with dried tomatoes and tuna (ENG/ESP)

Good morning blog friends, how are you? Here I am with another of my summer recipes, during this season I often eat rice and couscous because they are good even cold, I also found at my trusted supermarket some jars of xxl dried tomatoes that I love, they are cheap and there are a lot of them in a jar, I use them for various recipes, they are very tasty.

For this recipe you need:

  • 90 grams of couscous
  • 50 grams of dried tomatoes
  • 100 grams of canned tuna
  • 4 tablespoons of fine salt.

First, take some dried tomatoes from the jar with a fork and cut them into fine pieces. Then prepare a saucepan with about 100 ml of water to boil with the salt.

When the water boils add the couscous, turn off the heat and let the couscous rest for about five minutes until it has absorbed all the water, then put it in a large bowl, add the chopped dried tomatoes and then drain the canned tuna and add that too, mix everything well, the tuna and dried tomatoes will give a delicious flavor to the couscous.

Serve cold or hot as you like, this dish can also be stored in the fridge for a couple of days, it is really convenient for the summer and is also a quick recipe perfect to do to fight the heat and not spend too much time at the stove.

¡Buenos días, amigos del blog! ¿Qué tal? Aquí les traigo otra de mis recetas de verano. En esta época suelo comer arroz y cuscús porque están ricos incluso fríos. También encontré en mi supermercado de confianza unos botes de tomates secos XXL que me encantan. Son baratos y vienen en un bote.

Los uso para varias recetas; están riquísimos. Para esta receta necesitas:

  • 90 gramos de cuscús
  • 50 gramos de tomates secos
  • 100 gramos de atún enlatado
  • 4 cucharadas de sal fina

Primero, saca unos tomates secos del bote con un tenedor y córtalos en trozos finos. Luego, prepara una cacerola con unos 100 ml de agua para hervir con la sal. Cuando el agua hierva, añade el cuscús, apaga el fuego y deja reposar el cuscús unos cinco minutos hasta que absorba toda el agua.

Luego, ponlo en un bol grande, añade los tomates secos picados y escurre el atún enlatado. Mezcla bien. El atún y los tomates secos le darán un sabor delicioso. Sírvelo frío o caliente, al gusto. Este plato también se puede guardar en la nevera un par de días. Es muy práctico para el verano y, además, es una receta rápida, perfecta para combatir el calor y no pasar demasiado tiempo en la cocina.
