I recently visited the city of Coro in Falcón, Venezuela. On our second day, we went in search of a gas station to fill up because we were out of gas, and since there was no electricity, we had to stay there. We hadn't had breakfast either, so we looked for a restaurant to satisfy our appetite. Luckily, there was a place to eat inside the gas station called Chap Fast Food.

When I walked in, I fell in love with the place. It had a Halloween theme with pumpkins, spider webs, and ghosts, as well as festive banners. There were areas designed for reading with interesting books, and some diners were eagerly awaiting their orders.

There was no physical menu, but the waitress gave me a detailed description of the few breakfast options available, so we chose our favorite beef empanadas, accompanied by sugarcane juice, as we didn't want to drink soda so early in the morning.

When our empanadas arrived, we were impressed by their size, as a single empanada was like two of the ones they sell in Maracaibo put together. They were super crispy and the filling was delicious, although I felt it could have been a little more generous. The sugarcane juice was refreshing and its flavor was a little different from the conventional kind, as it had peach as an extra fruit.

We couldn't eat the second empanada, so we saved it for later. Imagine if it had the filling I like, I wouldn't have been able to finish even one empanada.

The breakfast was divine, and I can't stop being surprised by the size of each of the empanadas. Without a doubt, our cuisine has varieties in every city or town in our country.

See you later!
