Arabic food has an incredible flavor. I had the chance to eat at Siria Grill, located on 24th Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets in downtown Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela. We decided to sit upstairs where the atmosphere is nicer, there’s live entertainment, and you can watch the activity on the street below.

The view from up there is quite pleasant. The best part of sitting there is that you can enjoy the experience in a relaxed way, with music and a pleasant setting. It helps you unwind. The waiter quickly came to our table and handed us the menu. We already knew what we wanted, but as we climbed the stairs, we saw meat being grilled—and the smell was amazing.

After checking the menu and seeing the size of the shawarmas, we decided to order the 300-gram ones (beef and chicken). I ordered mine without any vegetables—I usually don’t eat veggies at night, especially tomatoes. We ordered five shawarmas in total: four to eat there and one to take home for my brother. We also ordered a small mixed grill and a 1.5-liter bottle of Coca-Cola.

While we waited for the food, we enjoyed the music and the nice atmosphere. The waiter brought sauces for the meal along with the soda. Shortly after, he brought out the shawarmas.

Además, pedimos una parrilla pequeña junto a una gaseosa de litro y medio Coca Cola.

Mientras esperábamos la comida, disfrutábamos del ambiente, la música y el entorno agradable. El mesero colocó las salsas para untar la comida en la mesa junto a la Coca Cola. Después de eso, trajo cada uno de los shawarmas.

Los shawarmas tenían una presentación muy agradable. Me gustó que estaban bien envueltos y que pesaban. Se veía que tenía suficiente carne. Es uno de los aspectos que considero muy agradables.

Al probar el shawarma quedé impresionado; el sabor era genial. La carne estaba fresca, cocinada a un buen término. Como el mío no tenía vegetales, sabía aún mejor. Había un buen equilibrio en la carne, y la salsa para untar provocaba que tuviera un mejor sabor.

Mientras que disfrutábamos de los shawarmas, el mesero trajo la parrilla. La presentación era agradable y se veía demasiado apetitosa. El olor de la carne asada era genial, y la ensalada se veía fresca.
