Taking the time to write is not always easy. Today, I’m bringing you a review of my visit to Porks Grill, a restaurant located in the city of Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela. How did I end up at this restaurant? My brother had been watching videos about this place on TikTok for several months, and since we were returning from the city of Valencia, Carabobo State, we decided to stop by and eat at this exclusive spot.

I really liked the restaurant’s entrance. It was eye-catching, and the overall design was very elegant. Everything was clean and well organized. From the moment we walked in, the service felt wonderful; the staff were smiling and very attentive. The atmosphere was completely different from that of Barquisimeto, the city where I live (and where I’m considering moving away from).

We chose a table for four. As we sat down, a young waiter—articulate and charismatic—approached us. He handed each of us a menu, and we began deciding what to order. My brother ordered a dish called “Picadito,” which was a mix of grilled cuts: chicken churrasco, beef tenderloin, chorizo, and grilled blood sausage, served with yuca sticks and chimichurri. My mom ordered a veal sirloin, a premium tender cut of beef braised in spices and red wine, then grilled. She chose to have it with sautéed vegetables and baked potatoes.

My uncle ordered pork ribs—oven-baked and braised, coated in barbecue sauce and sesame seeds, served with French fries and coleslaw. As for me, I ordered a grilled chicken churrasco topped with seafood and chorizo, along with a Caesar salad and sautéed vegetables. To drink, we ordered juices, beer, and an Orange Tres (a house specialty).

After spending a good amount of time choosing our dishes, we started talking. Lately, my stress levels have been quite high, and I’ve been experiencing sudden mood swings. We talked about that, as well as how beautiful the restaurant was and the excellent service. Real estate in Aragua is not as expensive as in Barquisimeto; however, power outages are a serious issue. We discussed that as well as the possibility of moving to another city given the current situation in Venezuela.

The conversation flowed quickly—so quickly that before we knew it, 15 minutes had passed, and the waiter returned with a large tray carrying all of our dishes. We were surprised by how much food there was—honestly, it was a lot.

Each dish had more than enough food to satisfy us comfortably. I really liked how everything was presented. I didn’t take many photos because it felt a bit uncomfortable. We were seated in a more private area, so I only took the necessary ones to document the experience.

The grilled chicken churrasco topped with seafood and chorizo was outstanding. The presentation was delicate and inviting—it looked absolutely delicious. I hadn’t planned on eating chicken; I actually wanted seafood for lunch. This dish turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a great combination.

I was especially impressed by the Caesar salad. It was prepared with Greek yogurt and had a hint of orange, which gave it a bold and refreshing flavor. Usually, it’s made with mayonnaise and doesn’t include these ingredients. As for the sautéed vegetables, they were prepared with care—their flavor was intense, with a rich blend of vegetables and a subtle Venezuelan sweetness.

The bill was one of the most affordable we’ve paid in recent months considering everything we ordered: about 79 USDT or HBD. That covered four people, alcohol, drinks, four main dishes with sides, and two desserts we ordered to go. It was a very reasonable price. I’ve paid the same in Barquisimeto for food that doesn’t come close to this. This place was a delight in both food and experience. If you ever visit Venezuela, I highly recommend stopping by. With love, Neruel.

He tenido cambios de humor repentinos.

No quería comer pollo, quería almorzar mariscos.

Yummy! that was excellent food and looks mouth watering. The good thing is it is not pricey for a good food.

That's right, and considering how many of us there were. I was surprised—it was delicious. 10/10.

I love the cooking process
Is nice

That's great, even though this is a restaurant review.
