Enjoying food at JOGLO NARTOATMOJO
Hi everyone, welcome to my blog again.. 👋
Last week, my family and I stopped by Yogyakarta for a walk. The plan was just to explore the city, but my mother want us to find a nice place to eat. Well, after wandering around the outskirts of the city, our eyes fell on a restaurant whose building was interesting enough for us to try. It’s called Rumah Makan Joglo Nartoatmojo...
From the outside, the atmosphere felt different. This restaurant features a traditional Javanese joglo building that is very authentic. Its towering roof, intricate wooden carvings, and the cool ambiance make this place feel comfortable and peaceful. Most importantly, this restaurant is far from the city.
When we entered, we were immediately amazed by the unique concept. They offer two dining options. The first is a buffet with ready made dishes that can be taken freely, or you can order from a menu that is cooked fresh right then and there, ensuring everything is fresh...
We chose a few dishes that intrigued us the most. The first menu was crispy tofu. I was a little skeptical, but the taste was beyond my expectations. The tofu was fried until it perfectly crispy on the outside, but the inside remained soft. It tastes savory and with a little spice inside, making it a perfect starter snack..!!
Next, we tried fried jadah. The texture of fried jadah is very chewy and dense, with a savory, sweet flavor. This jadah is fried to perfection, resulting in a slightly crispy outer layer. The taste made me miss home cooking....
But the standout dish was the fried village chicken. The chicken is fried with perfectly infused yellow spices down to the bone. The meat is tender and not tough at all. It's savory, just the right amount of saltiness, and has a strong spiced aroma... It truly tastes different from ordinary fried chicken and is incredibly delicious...
In the buffet area, there is also a wide variety of options.!! There are various types of satay, an array of vegetables, and other diverse side dishes. We wanted to try everything but were already quite full. The bottom line is, you can take whatever you find here, but don’t forget to pay okay.?? Hehehe...
!
Overall, our dining experience at Joglo Nartoatmojo was very satisfying. Besides the delicious food, the atmosphere is also very comfortable... If you're visiting Yogyakarta and looking for a place to eat with a strong Javanese feel, Joglo Nartoatmojo is a must try..!!

Who is Nur Satrio ??
Hi, I'm Tio, a lover of stories, whether written on the pages of a book, presented in adventurous games, or engraved in the incredibly beautiful nature of Indonesia. In my free time, I like to immerse myself in fictional worlds, build small worlds by assembling Gundam models, and explore new places that offer fresh air and soothing views.
For me, life is not about how fast we run, but how much beauty we get to enjoy along the way. I believe that every book has a universe, every journey has a story, and every second we spend in nature is a quiet expression of gratitude that calms the heart.
