「“Egg Waffle" 」
Hey everyone, how was your weekend?
This Sunday, I was spending time with my mother at a nearby ice cream shop. Strangely, despite passing the place almost everyday my mom and I barely checking out the place. So, I decided to check out the place. Apparently this place is similar to Mixue where they also sell fruit tea and sundae.
This month, Momoyo is offering a new menu, an egg waffle ice cream. So, we ordered one with strawberry vanilla flavored ones. Honestly, because I am now obsessed with waffle, it was a good idea to sample waffles. From there, I learned to perfect my waffle recipe and actually make the best damn waffle.
For an ice cream shop, this place was a bit fancy and pretty cold. They have many chairs and after dinner, it gets busier. Interestingly, those who visit this place are of people from all ages. There were as many as adult and kids in the place spending their Sunday night together.
Out of curiosity, my mom and I tried to estimate the revenue of this place. For a simple ice cream shop, this place surprisingly does so well monthly. I find it intriguing that this type of business can be very promising. It’s really just selling iced fruit tea and ice cream but because they know how to package the goods properly and has a good branding, they’re doing pretty fine.
Once we get our waffle after about 15 minutes waiting, I inspected the taste and smell. I found out that they use more egg yolk portion than the white ones. Even without the ice cream, it already tasted so good. It was one of those crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was buttery and has a good savory mixture to it.
While I haven’t really recreated that waffle, at some point this week I think I’ll do it. Since I recently purchased a waffle maker and I need to make a good use out of it. Some of you have seen it but they aren’t really my best yet. Once I have finished experimenting, I might share the full recipe.
