This simple snacks recipe is called "Camote Rolls".
Here's a satisfying mouth watering and finger licking good recipe of the leftover camote made into camote Rolls recipe.
1/4kilo boiled camote
1/8 cup all purpose flour
1/8 cup white sugar
Oil for deep frying
Cheese cut into strips (Eden cheese)
1 egg (used for coating the camote)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Procedures:
- Gather the ingredients.Prepare to measure the dry ingredients.
- Prepare the leftover camote,Peel it off.
3.Start mashing it until you reached the consistency.(Smooth consistency)
4.In a mixing bowl,pour in the mashed camote, sugar,the powdered milk,and flour.
5.Knead the flour until it's mixed with the other ingredients.
6.Start to roll it and form it into your design shape( but I form this into a small logs)
I filled it with cheese so that it's taste is yummier.
7.After rolling it and formed it into logs.This is now what it looked like.
8.Dredge the formed logs into a breadcrumbs.Rolled it until the last log.
Rolled the camote in the egg.
Washed your hands thoroughly when rolling the camote in an egg.
After dredge it in the breadcrumbs arranged it in a plate.
Prepare the pan.Heat the pan and add some oil.
When it heated,add the camote rolls and start deep frying.
Cooked until it becomes Golden Brown.
Prepare the plate.Cover it with parchment paper,or a tissue paper so that the oil may drained.
When cooked transfer it on a plate.
Served with fresh fruit juice or beverage.
