Hello Food Lovers!Since we have a family gathering today join me as I share to you of one of the food I share to my family is the Fish Escabeche.Its also known as the Sweet and Sour Fish in a tomato sauce and.I find this food tastier and creamier because of its thickened sauce,tomato sauce.It add so much flavor to the fish.
It's called Fish Escabeche,a traditional food prepared occasionally.
Select a fish in the market that is fresh and is perfect to be cooked as sweet and sour
Heres how to prepare the simple filipino dish
1.Cleaned and washed the fish thoroughly in a running water.Make sure to removed it's smell.Wash it many times but be sure to still keep the fish body is intact.
2.Prepare the pan for frying the fish.An adequate amount of oil will used to cook the whole fish.Fry the fish in an oil until it's golden brown.
And for making the sauce you have to prepare the oil,garlic,onion,tomato and tomato sauce. Saute this in a pan with a little amount of oil.
3.Prepare the sliced spices such as garlic,onion and add a little bit Chile to taste better. Seasoned it with pepper and salt..Add a little vinegar...This will preserved the food and add a little soury flavor to the fish..And add tomato sauce in it..Simmer for atleast 10minutes and slowly add a little amount of cornstarch enough to thickened it.
After simmer..It's cooked and ready to serve.
Because of the limited ingredients that I had.So I don't anymore add topping into it...But still you can add carrots, bell pepper and a little amount of ginger.
You can also try this delectable and mouth watering Filipino dish in your home.Kids will surely enjoy eating this paired with a cup of rice and a fresh fruit juice paired with this.
