Hello food makers and lovers! Today I had a very simple recipe but for me it's nostalgic. Do you know about winged beans? In my hometown we called it karabansos but here in the island where I currently live it is called garbansos and in Manila it is named as sigarilyas. This is one of my fa vegetables during my childhood. The last time I ate this is when I was elementary. We don't have a plant like this. I will go to our neighbor and I will buy it but our neighbor never accepts money because they are going to give it only. But when there's a long months of drought that plant didn't survive and in our village he has the only winged Bean in his backyard garden. Since then I never eaten this vegetable because when I go to markets I'm very particular about vegetables and I never saw like this. It was here in the island a mother of my daughter's classmate was posting about this vegetable and I buy but she never accept my money and she only gave it to me.
The ingredients:

First is to wash it well and then slice it according to your preference. I like it in a cube size so it's easy to chew and fast to cook.

Then boil 2 cups of water in a pan. One instant noodles water serving is one and a half cup but since there's a vegetable together it must be two cups to make time for boiling.

Once boiled add the sliced winged beans and the noodles together and let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Make sure not to overcook to achieve a little crunchy. I always cook vegetable like half cook because I think I enjoyed it much rather than so smooth and viscous.

Then here's the final result. It's very easy and fast to make it. I also loved adobo like winged bean. And more over I like it in a "pakbet" A mixture of different vegetables without leaves.
I had the perfect dinner and I think I was taken back to my younger years. Have you tried winged beans? What do you think is the best recipe for this?
