I am glad that I could share this tip! All the credit to my girlfriend and her ability to see these things online. Some very good tips coming from local people sharing their ideas.
So true, and the best salad leaves always grow in the winter. I have a specific plant, chickweed (Stellaria media) as mentioned in the post, growing here in the winter and it is delicious! People always want to get rid of it because it is a "weed" but to me its the most delicious winter treat.
Maybe for health reasons but also because things are becoming so expensive.
Everything astronomically high in pricing, learn to make within the home doing some foraging !LOLZ

I am lucky with our Fruit & Veg, still some good deals. I bought a really big box full of peppers for R40. And various veggies for soup for under R100. Total was less than R200 for almost a week's supply of food, if not more than a week. Only when you buy meat, eggs, and dairy when things really become expensive.
Seasonal supply always good time to buy, then decide how to put to good use.
Enjoyed this dish last night made exactly the way they suggested only added big brown mushrooms which added a twist to taste we enjoy here... Called Rumbledethumps 😁
