Do you know crepes? They're actually quite a popular food, and almost every place have own signature crepe. Made from wheat flour spread on a non sticky pan, they have a unique flavor, and if you look closer, they're incredibly smooth.
It's like eating sweet crackers, not fried but require precise technique to achieve the perfect crispiness, sure. Granted, not everyone enjoys this dessert, but I love crepes, almost typical crepes.

In Bangkok, I discover a type of crepe that's authentically Thai crepes. Khanom Bueang, shaped like small crepes, are around diametes 10-15 cm. Interestingly, making khanom bueang, I thought, require a special round mold, but it turns out it's just a simple tool, and the non sticky pan is like grilling burgers.
I find khanom bueang at the street food stalls at Chatuchak Weekend Market. They say the most famous one in Bangkok is near Wat Arun, but sadly I didn't have time to stop this time in Bangkok, so I know all khanom bueang must taste the same.

There are three types of toppings on top of the khanom bueang, the orange one is Foi Thong made from eggs, the green one is made from coconut with pandan leaves, and the red one is pure grated coconut. If you buy them, you can mix them all at no additional cost. It's really interesting to have them all mixed together.
What I love about street food in Thailand is how hygienic it is, and they always display what's on display. So, don't worry or feel cheated and almost all street food in Thailand is always delicious. It's true, though, that not all dish suit everyone's palate.
A serving costs around 40-50 baht depending on where you buy it. Here, it's 50 baht and I got 6 pieces of khanom bueang. So, I shared it with my wife, @aswita, because she's truly a dessert ghost!
Wow, seeing this makes me really want to go to Bangkok again. I really want to try the food there, which is said to be increasingly varied.
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
