Egg with bread is normally an easy and light breakfast in Nigeria especially for working class men and women and school school children. I prefer a cup of tea or coffee with two slices of bread and fried egg as my breakfast. Most people prepare this breakfast by frying the egg and have it roll inside the bread, then eat it any way of their choice. But this morning i made up my mind to give another way of frying my eggs for my breakfast.
I believe we shouldn't always have a particular way of doing something. A new way should always welcomeed and tried out.
Making my egg in bread
Ingredients for egg in bread
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 raw eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried grinded pepper
- 15g of onion
Step one
Wash, peel and cut the onion into a bowl plate where other ingredients can be add.
Into the onion add the salt, pepper and crack the eggs inside.
Beat the egg well to mix with the other ingredients well and set it aside.
With the bread i cut out the middle with a round object, you can choose any shape at all.
Put a pot on fire, first go with the bread and pour in the egg in the whole you've made then place the one that have been shaped cut on top of the egg, then flip it to the other side of it. Making sure the both sides are well done.
So you take it on after the other until you're done. I achieves it. I will keep trying this out for sometime. With this way i will be saving myself the stress of rolling my fried egg into the bread. You can serve this with a cup of tea, coffee or soft drink of any choice.
