RE: A Traditional Chinese Style Dinner In A Xinjiang Halal Resraurant

in Foodies Bee Hive16 days ago (edited)

Having my dinner in outside restaurant or from the online takeout has become a regular habit for me as the canteen foods in my institute is not suitable for me both in the taste and most of the time the dishes that I usually don't like and many of them are with pork that is not allowed for me for my religion. Last week, I have taken my dinner at a Halal restaurant which is also run by a group of Xinjiang people, and I often take meals from that restaurant. So, most of these dishes from Xinjiang also have some common dishes that are very popular in China. Especially, the BBQ of different meats, tofu, and some vegetables, stir-fried noodles, and some ramen-type noodles.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
Wow, Halal food looks delicious!
I wonder what halal food tastes like!

By the way, I don't buy food from outside restaurants or markets!
Because I have a weak stomach and liver, I don't eat out at restaurants and cook at home.
I guessed that your health deteriorated because you have bought and ate food that did not suit your constitution while abroad.
The reason I can't travel is because I get a stomachache when I eat food sold at restaurants and supermarkets.😂

So, The halal food looked delicious, but I couldn't buy it!
People who have traveled to the Indian subcontinent have said that travelers can die from typhoid and dysentery if they consume the wrong food or water there.

The location of the restaurant is not too far from the institute dormitory, which takes around 10 minutes by bicycle. Most of the time, I take dinner from here as I try to take a major meal a day to maintain my weight increasing issue. Most of the time, I eat rice bowl-based dishes with chicken meat, beef, and other kinds of curries. But Beijing has its own eating habit of eating more noodles than many parts of China. Especially, the southern people of China prefer rice over noodles, and the northern people love noodles over rice-based dishes.

I guess you gained weight because you were stressed out from not being able to adapt to Chinese food.
If you eat food from outside restaurants, your body's condition will get worse!

So, I believe you should find a place to stay that has a kitchen so you can cook for yourself!
Since you are a good cook, you will be able to make healthy meals yourself!

I enjoy reading your interesting articles!

Thanks for your concern regarding my health issues. I am also trying to stop consuming unhealthy foods currently and reduce my weight gain. But it is difficult for me to cook on a regular basis due to my tight schedule. Yeah, the food in the Indian subcontinent can be life-threatening if you are not careful before buying street food as a foreigner. But native people are okay with these foods as a habit, most of the time. Halal foods are same like normal foods, only requirement for meat as we can not eat those animals meat which are sacrificed for other gods except Allah as in Hinduism. But all meats are halal from the Christian and Jewish shop, as our God is the same Allah. If you don't know, you can read some articles, and as far as I remember, I have told you on this point earlier. Halal foods are not different; all fish and vegetables are halal from anywhere. Only animals should be sacrifice in the name of Allah for making it Halal, and some other meat like pork, carnivorous animals, and blood are not halal.

Dear Hassan!
It's very hard for you to live alone in a foreign country! It's a sorrow reality!

Yeah, I remember the article you wrote about Halal! I just couldn't understand it because my English reading skills are poor!

East Asians like me understand halal food to be food that excludes pork!
The average East Asian enjoys pork and beef, so it is difficult for them to understand and accept the traditions of Islam and Hinduism!
So, Buddhism is popular because it has no food prohibitions.
