Celebrar la vida significa rendir tributo a nuestra existencia y pienso que es algo importante porque nos recuerda la importancia de ese día en el cual vivimos al mundo.
Me encantan las reuniones de cumpleaños, esas en las que podemos relajarnos y disfrutar con alegría y tranquilidad; más allá de las fiestas de cumpleaños donde todo es bullicio, amo las reuniones en las que se puede conversar a gusto sin que la música a alto volumen te haga levantar la voz, esas reuniones en las que el mar está presente.
Y así fue la celebración del cumpleaños de un gran amigo; fui invitada a ella y se trataba de una "hamburguesada" cuya carne el mismo haría en la parrilla, pues ama cocinar.
Es usual llevar algo para estas reuniones, así que pregunté qué podía llevar y resulta que la petición del cumpleañero para los invitados fue la de llevar una botella de vino. Esto me causó mucha gracia y fue aún más chistoso cuando llegué al sitio y vi las botellas colocadas en fila. ¡A celebrar!
Generalmente, me toca ayudar en el departamento de papas fritas (lol) y vean lo bellas que quedaron.
Celebrating life means paying tribute to our existence, and I think it’s important because it reminds us of the significance of the day we were born into this world.
I love birthday gatherings—the kind where we can relax and enjoy ourselves with joy and peace of mind. Beyond the noisy birthday parties, I love gatherings where you can chat comfortably without having to raise your voice over loud music—those gatherings where the sea is present.
And that’s exactly how a great friend’s birthday celebration went; I was invited, and it was a “barbecue” where he would grill the meat himself, since he loves to cook.
It’s customary to bring something to these gatherings, so I asked what I could bring, and it turns out the birthday boy’s request for the guests was to bring a bottle of wine. I found this really funny, and it was even funnier when I arrived and saw the bottles lined up in a row. Let’s celebrate!
Usually, I’m in charge of the french fries (lol), and look how beautiful they turned out.
La hamburguesa estuvo deliciosa, al igual que la velada; podíamos salir al patio, que literalmente es la playa, todo un encanto.
The burger was delicious, and so was the evening; we could step out onto the patio, which is literally the beach—absolutely charming.
También nos brindaron un queso de cabra exquisito hecho por los dueños de la casa.
They also treated us to some delicious goat cheese made by the owners of the house.
Este tipo de celebraciones me recuerda la importancia de la verdadera amistad, esa que alimenta tu vida con hermosos momentos.
