
đ„Š Healthy Meal Inspiration â Steamed Broccoli & Cauliflower with Lentils and Avocado

A friend from work recently told me that after turning 40, everything starts going downhill when it comes to health and physical appearance. He believes itâs just part of aging.
My opinion is differentâI believe we can influence and control a lot of that through healthy, natural nutrition.
He inspired me to prepare this healthy dish:
Steamed broccoli and cauliflower with cooked lentils, avocado, and spring onion.
đ Ingredients:
200 g green lentils
1 onion
2 carrots
1 medium avocado
10 broccoli florets
10 cauliflower florets
Salt and sweet ground paprika
đČ Preparation:
Lentil stew:
I poured water into a pot and brought it to a boil. Then I added peeled carrots and a whole onion, together with the lentils, and cooked everything for about an hour.


Tip: If you want to avoid bloating, soak the lentils in cold water for at least 6 hours beforehand.
After cooking, I added a simple thickening mixture made from water, a small spoon of flour, and a pinch of sweet paprika. Then I let it cook for another 5 minutes.

Broccoli & cauliflower:
I poured about 300 ml of water into a steaming pot and brought it to a boil. Then I placed the broccoli and cauliflower florets in the upper steaming section.



Cauliflower-about 15â20 minutes,and broccolimuch shorter, around 3 minutes max
After that, I served them with fresh avocado, peeled and sliced, without heat treatment.




One avocado can replace a portion of meat in a meal due to its rich nutritional value.
I also added a bit of miso to the lentils and a few drops of tamari sauce to the broccoli.
