Pancit Guisado is one of the most loved Filipino dishes served on almost any occasion like birthdays, fiestas or even simple family meals. It’s not only delicious but also very easy to prepare. What makes this dish special is its combination of stir-fried noodles, fresh vegetables, and tender pork cooked in savory soy sauce. Every bite brings comfort and oy, especially when shared with family and friends. In today’s story, I will be sharing how I cooked my version of Pancit Guisado – simple, flavorful and perfect for any day.

Ingredients:
• 1 kilo pancit
• Pork (sliced thinly)
• Carrots
• Cauliflower
• Bell pepper
• Chinese Petchay
• Onion
• Garlic
• Soy Sauce
Procedure:
Before I started cooking, I first introduced the vegetables to the kids, I showed them each one and name them one by one. I do this so that when they eat the cooked pancit later, they already know what vegetables are in it. It’s a simple way to make them more interested in eating healthy food while also learning.

After that, I began cooking. I heated the pan and added the pork. I didn’t use any cooking oil since the pork itself has enough fat to produce oil while cooing. Once the meat started to release its natural oil and turned slightly brown, I added the chopped onion and minced garlic. The aroma immediately filled the kitchen, signaling that it was time to add the vegetables.

I then added the carrots, cauliflower, bell pepper, Baguio beans and Chinese Petchay. I sauteed the all together until they become slightly tender but still crisp to keep their freshness and color. After cooing the vegetables, I placed them on a plate to set aside.

Next I poured water and soy sauce into the same pan to create a flavorful broth. I let it boil before adding the pancit noodles. I mixed it gently, allowing the noodles to absorb the sauce and soften. When the pancit was fully cooked and the liquid reduced, I returned the sauteed vegetables and pork to the pan. I mixed everything together carefully until well combined.
The result? A colorful and savory plate of Pancit Guisado that’s bursting with flavor and loaded with vegetables. It’s a simple dish but always makes any meal special.

Whether you’re cooking for a celebration or just an ordinary day. This recipe is sure o satisfy everyone at the table. Try it at home and enjoy the taste of homemade goodness!
