Hello, friends especially foodies!

For several times, i missed Dutch snacks, i missed my favorite poffertjes and bitterballen. But i couldn't find it at any place, fortunately when i went to one of the newest shopping center which was located in Alam Sutera, Tangerang, West Java. I could find a food stall which sold Dutch snacks that i missed the most. Well, before get into the stall and food, let me tell you a bit about the shopping center.

The shopping center named Jakarta Premium Outlet. It provides many branded stuffs that are mostly discounted. The place is different from other shopping centers because it has outdoor concept. Like you could see below, i had my photos taken there. They had some green plants, dripping waterfall, water fountain, unique rattan gazebos, a wooden flat stair, some trees.

On one upper floor, there was even larger dripping water fall which was great for photo shoot.

Overall the shopping center is great, but it was quite hot by the time we were there so that i needed to put on my cap plus sunglasses. But anyway the concept about semi outdoor shopping center is great.

Now jump back to the snacks we had. I found Little Amsterdam stall on their ground floor.

Lucky for us, by the time we arrived there, there was only one customer before us.

Because guess what, minutes after we had ordered, many customers lined up there. Whoah! Made me even more curious about the taste and flavour of the Dutch snacks.

Well, actually this food stall is simple. They only offers three kind of dishes:

Their signature bites, Poffertjes and Bitterballen.

Kind of Patat (Dutch Fries) that had different dressing with the choices of Joppie, Cheese, Truffle Mayo and Mayo.

Beside on the monitor above, you could also see their menu on the cashier's desk.

After we had ordered and paid, they started making our order. For poffertjes they made it by polishing the butter first to the pan, then putting the dough on it then fried them until fully cooked.

And after finished they put on the powder sugar and some butter.

Now, let me tell you about their taste and flavour.

Let's start from the

BITTERBALLEN

Bitterballen actually is Dutch meatballs. Of course it contained real beef inside, and it was creamy smooth. It had tasty savory flavour. For the outter, it had bread crumbs and fried. So the outter was crunchy. Served with the yellow dressing (kind of mustard sauce) which had sweet sour flavour, it is a good choice for savory lover!

Next, for the pancake lover

Yes, it was

POFFERTJES

Well poffertjes actually is Dutch mini pancake. It had soft fluffy texture. With yellowish color, it had sweet and light savory flavour. I always loved the flavour of poffertjes, and it began from my childhood time. A bit story, this is my favorite and i used to order it in my favorite restaurant, my favorite restaurant has a bit touch of Dutch and it's located in my second hometown. By tasting those poffertjes i could at least release my craving for poffertjes.

For the price, they sold them, both menus in 35K IDR price. For the bitterballen you will only get 3 small balls, while for poffertjes you will get 10 pieces. For both of them we paid 70K IDR or around 4.3 USD. Well, how do you think about this price?

Overall, i loved both of their bitterballen and poffertjes, and i would come for more later of course!
