Have you ever noticed that something sweet and beautiful is evident from the first glance? I think something sweet and beautiful isn't just a sight; it can also be a taste. In fact, I'm making something sweet and beautiful.
It's brown, but the shape is so beautiful with perfectly proportioned carvings. It's mold use food grade plastic, so don't ask about the taste. The taste? Sweet but not too sweet, a little creamy, and the texture is so soft you can even swallow it slowly without using your teeth. Really, summer is the perfect time to eat this.
What is it? Why is it so interesting? LOL. I'm making a sweet pudding with chocolate. It's really easy, but it requires the right technique to achieve the right texture.
I used 1 liter of milk, 1 packet of agar-agar, sugar, and a little vanilla flavor. I think chocolate pudding and vanilla flavor are a perfect combination of colors and a perfect blend.
Here's how I make chocolate pudding with vanilla custard:
- Never heat the milk first, so at room temperature, I mix agar-agar, 900 ml of milk, sugar, and cocoa powder. I actually use agar-agar that already has Belgian chocolate flavor, but I like to add a little more cocoa powder to make it less bitter than chocolate and to make the color more intense.
- Then, stir until well combined and heat over low heat. Keep stirring until the milk starts to foam. Turn off the heat once it reaches high. Don't overcook it, as it will cause the milk and fat solids to separate.
- After that, pour it into a beautiful pudding mold. I used a 16-inch diameter mold.
- Wait until it hardens slightly and is warm, then refrigerate it. Serve within 4 hours at the earliest.
- Meanwhile, I make the vanilla custard by mixing the vanilla custard with 200 ml of hot water. Stir until well combined and refrigerate to cool.
- This dessert is best served cold and mix in the custard when you want to eat it.
