I just discover that buy a pack of minced beef is actually much cheaper than making it yourself. I thought it because the fat content in minced beef packs is much higher, so the price cheap. But, in this economy, it's very useful, and of course I do it!

However, I rarely use minced beef in my cooking. Just because it's a bit more expensive than chicken, but because cooking with beef is not a menu item and there so varieties. Well, I suddenly have an idea because I'd just watched a manga series on Netflix and it included a story about hamburger steak.

Honestly, hamburg steak have never cross in my mind, I never even eaten anything like it. Why? It's not really cultural. Hamburg steak is Japanese, by the way, cmiiw please.

And I got a pack of minced beef like this. I'm already half-eaten because I used it to make this hamburger steak. Sure, it turned out delicious. Want to know this recipe? I'll share it with you.

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams minced beef
  • 50 grams shiitake mushrooms
  • onion, garlic
  • 1 egg
  • salt, black pepper, 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • potatoes, cheddar cheese, butter
  • green beans, carrots, and broccoli

So, now that you have the ingredients, it's time to make this dish! Wrap it up!

First thing first, of course, boil the greenbeans, carrots, and broccoli, but please add broccoli for the last. Just 2 minutes before turn off the heat, then add the broccoli and a little salt for umami.

Boil the potatoes until soft, very soft. I need time about 10 minutes to get good results. Then, mash and strain until the particles are very good, like making baby porridge, and mix with the cheese and butter with salt.

Next? Make the beef hamburger by sautéing the garlic and garlic. Then, combine it with the mince beef and add a little salt for a little flavor, just a little. And finally, cook it in a pan with olive oil. Bake until lightly brown, making sure the center is fully cooked.

Finally, make the black pepper sauce for the last part. I make it simple by saute onions, then thinly slice shiitake mushrooms, and top it with oyster sauce, black pepper, and salt. Don't forget to add a little water and cornstarch to thick a sauce.

You made me crave for a Hamburg steak @aswita. It means your blog is so effective. Oh, upon reading your narration, I was silently imagining eating the steak from Jollibee and the restaurant I used to eat beside our university. I'm glad you made a way to have a homemade steak and try it yourself. The process was fun, isnt it? I really love steak, any version of cooking it, my taste buds won't be choosy. I just love the aroma and the perfect, savory, meaty, and tender patty. I eat it with rice often. But sometimes I pair it with fries, although weird. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I had good read❤️

Wow wow what a yummy good looking and balanced dish I love it ❤️
