Pakistani Famous Channa Pulao Recipe

Which is very popular in Pakistan and everyone from children to adults likes to eat it. The name of this recipe is Chana Pulao. This is a very tasty dish and the best recipe to make on the arrival of guests, which is prepared with great care in the urban areas of Pakistan as well as in the rural areas. I prepared this recipe today at home after a long time and thought that I would share this delicious recipe with you too.It took more than one hour to prepare.I prepared this Channa Pulao recipe in 7 steps.

The ingredients needed to prepare this recipe are as follows:

Rice: 1 kg
Onion: 250 grams
Cooking oil (banaspati ghee): 200 grams
White gram: 250 grams
Tomato: 250 grams,
Garlic ginger paste: 30 grams
Red chili powder: 2 teaspoons
Coriander powder: 3 teaspoons
Salt: 3 teaspoons
Biryani spice: 2 teaspoons
Turmeric: 1/4 teaspoon
Garam masala: 20 grams
Black pepper powder: 2 teaspoons
Lemon: 2 pieces, chopped

The step-by-step method for making channa pulao recipe is as follows.

//Procedure//

Step:1
First, I lit a fire in the stove and placed a metal pot on it.After that, I added banaspati ghee to it with the help of a spoon. You can also use cooking oil.Along with this, I added chopped onions to fry in ghee until brown. After about five minutes, as soon as the onions turned brown, I added the garlic ginger paste, which I had prepared by crushing the garlic and ginger in a stone pot with the help of a wooden stick. This pot is our traditional pot.Fry it for a while so that the onion and garlic ginger paste gets well mixed and cooked.

Step:2
After that, I added the chopped tomatoes and cooked for some more time so that the tomatoes were well cooked. As soon as the tomatoes were well cooked, I added red chili powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and biryani spices together and waited until the spices were cooked. I cooked all these ingredients for about ten minutes so that all the ingredients were absorbed and cooked well.

Step:3
Apart from this, I soaked one kilo of rice in water for some time so that the rice becomes soft. 250 grams of of white chickpeas that I had already boiled on the stove for half an hour so that I could add them to the rice that was now boiled.

Step:4
When the masala was completely ready, I added twice as much water as the rice to bring it to a boil, and at the same time, I added boiled white gram, hot spices, black pepper powder, and two sliced lemons to it, I lit a high flame for five minutes and put a lid on the pot.

Step:5
In this step, when the water had boiled, I mixed the soaked rice into it and placed the lid on top for some time so that the rice could absorb the spices well and dissolve completely.

Step:6
In this step, when I lifted the lid, the water was almost dry and as I moved the final step my little doll joined me and I held her in my arms for a while and talked to her and even took a few pictures with her while I was making this recipe, and enjoying these moments.

Step:7
In the final step I soaked the cloth in water, wrapped it around the lid, placed it on top of the pot, and put the rice on the stove and reduced the heat. I waited for about ten minutes, and as soon as I lifted the lid, a delicious aroma of rice came out, and thus our delicious recipe of Channa Pulao was ready.

This dish was very delicious and I enjoyed eating it with my family. I also prepared a special raaita and enjoyed the Pulao with this raita made with coriander and green chillies mixed in yogurt.
