What to cook? ...It's the question we housewives almost always ask ourselves, and whether we have a lot, a little, or nothing, we always end up asking ourselves that question 🤣, God!!, what should I cook today? I almost always hear my mom say hahaha, but well, there's always something that inspires us to make something. For example, I really like to cook something for lunch that I can then have for dinner since I don't like to eat anything heavy because I'm used to it and it can make me sick, and well, if I don't take care of myself, nobody else will. But anyway, getting back to the topic, whenever I have to cook, I try to make something simple that I can have left over for dinner. Unlike this dish I made, it didn't actually have any leftovers for dinner, but it was delicious. Come, let me show you how I made this rich and delicious pasta dish with ground beef, a typical Venezuelan dish. I forgot the black beans to go with it 🤭.

- 1 litro de agua filtrada
- 1/2 kg de pasta
- 1/4 kg de carne molida
- Condimentos al gusto(Pimienta/Sal/orégano/onoto para el color)
- 1/2 tomate
- 1/2 cebolla
- 1/2 zanahoria
- 1 cucharada grande de aceite
- 4 dientes de ajo
- 1 liter of filtered water
- 1/2 kg of pasta
- 1/4 kg of ground meat
- Seasonings to taste(Pepper/Salt/Oregano/Annatto for color)
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 carrot
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 4 cloves of garlic

The first thing I did was wash our vegetables very well, then we're going to add 900 ml of water and bring it to a boil with salt. This water is for the pasta. Then, while it's boiling, we're going to peel our garlic cloves.

Next, we crush our garlic cloves and add them to the pan. We cut an onion and tomato and add them to the pan as well. Then we add the carrot, which has been previously grated on the soft side of the grater.

Next, we'll add the seasonings to the sofrito and the large spoonful of oil. We'll sauté this for a few minutes over low heat. The idea is to cook the vegetables well, at least until they're golden brown. The aroma it will give off is delicious! 😋 Then we'll check if the water for the pasta has boiled. When it does, we simply add the pasta, and after 15 minutes we'll notice that it's soft enough to drain.

Next, we'll add the remaining 100 ml of water from the liter to the meat sofrito, and then add the meat. We'll let this boil for 20 minutes. The idea is to cook the meat well so that it absorbs the flavor of the sofrito and has a good taste. Once the time has passed, we remove it from the heat and leave a little sauce to spread on the pasta. I add a tablespoon of oil to the pasta to prevent it from sticking, even when it cools down, although I've always liked to eat pasta warm.
