Yes, some very delicious dumplings, courtesy of my grandmother's recipe. She has gladly taught me how to make them, and on this occasion, I will share with you the very simple recipe. I thought it would take more ingredients, but there are fewer than you imagine.

Yes, I know that from the beginning you have wondered what are dumplings and for those who do not know them here I will tell you what they are, dumplings are commonly small sweet or salty buns that are made from wheat flour, salt, water and butter, there are people who for more fluffiness to the dough add 1 egg yes since the egg gives us that soft texture like clouds to our buns, also for flavor I always saw that my grandmother added a tablespoon of vanilla and lemon zest, oh I don't know but this combination to my taste I love it when a cake has them, that delicious lemon flavor and vanilla essence.
As usual, every time my grandmother had the opportunity to make them for us for dinner, she did it, but I tell you that I love them sweeter, that is, sprinkle them on top with cinnamon and sugar, mmm super delicious, I think I'm hungry now, let's go for the recipe 🤭👩🏻🍳.

- Harina 1 taza (100 gr)
- Mantequilla (1 cucharada)
- Vainilla al gusto (1 cucharadita)
- Sal una cucharadita
- Azúcar 10 gr
- Canela 1 cucharadita
- Ralladura de 1 limón
- Agua (40 gr)
- Aceite para freir
- Flour 1 cup (100 gr)
- Butter (1 tablespoon)
- Vanilla to taste (1 teaspoon)
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 10 gr
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Water (40 gr)
- Oil for frying

We start by sifting our flour and pouring it into a cup, then we add the other dry ingredients like salt. Here you can add a little sugar like a tablespoon to prepare the mixture, but this time I will respect my grandmother's recipe and make them salty like this, then I will sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.

As a second step, we will add our medium cup of water to the flour and then add our vanilla and lemon zest, we will also add the tablespoon of butter at once.

We proceed to wash our pretty hands well and we are going to knead this, I love it a lot because I feel that I release all my stress by kneading any dough, I think it is my weakness when I am going to make any type of recipe where I have to knead with the help of my hands, it feels so good that it is as if it were a stress reliever 🤭, we will be kneading for 10 minutes, so that the dough takes a very soft texture and has a little elasticity, when it is ready we let it rest for about 10 more minutes, after this time what I will do is form small balls of dough and we will let them rest once more there spread out on a plate.

We are going to preheat our pan on low heat
3 minutes before frying our dumplings, once the wait is over we begin to add our dumplings in small batches, we wait for them to brown on one side and we turn them over with a fork, we do the same with all of them.

We finished our delicious dumplings and when they were ready we sprinkled them with a little cinnamon and sugar. I put them on a small plate and so for each dumpling that was ready I passed it through the sugar and it was left on top. They looked very delicious and appetizing with a coffee 🥰.
