Carrot Halwa is one of the famous sweets of Pakistan. It is commonly made especially in winters at weddings or home functions. Carrots cooked with milk, sugar, ghee and cardamom make the taste and aroma of this halwa amazing.

Fresh carrots (grated)
Full-cream milk
Ghee (clarified butter)
Sugar
Cardamom
Dry fruits "almonds, pistachios, cashews" (Optional)

After washing the carrots thoroughly, grate them. A pan has been placed on the stove with grated carrots and they are being cooked on a low flame. After frying them well, sugar will be added to it.

After they become a little soft, cardamom is added. It is being further softened on a low flame. Milk and ghee have been added. We will fry it a little more and then we will remove it from the stove.

Our carrot halwa is ready and now we can dish it out.

I have also shared my picture on different places so that you can get an idea of how I have made it in village style. This is a desi method and maybe some of you know about it.
