How are you all? I hope you are all well. Alhamdulillah I am also well. I am back with another new post of mine. You may have guessed from the title of the post that today I will discuss something different. Yes, today I will share some things about my mess life with you. Let's start-

I have been living in the mess since 2019. Since then, I have not spent much time at home except for work, events or holidays. The biggest problem that everyone faces while in the mess is the food problem. In the mess, a fixed amount of food is given as per the rules. We cannot eat more or less as we wish. We cannot eat the food of our choice. The manager who will be there that month will decide the food menu and everyone will have to accept it. We cannot eat the food of our choice even if we wish. Many times, we cannot eat food because the cooking of our aunts is bad. To achieve success in life, we have to endure thousands of hardships and sacrifices. Those of you who were in the mess during your student life must be aware of all these issues.

I was in Kushtia for the last 4 years. Then I moved to Gazipur at the end of 2023. Since then I have been in Gazipur. I used to dislike many foods in my life, but since coming to Gazipur, I have developed a habit of eating them. Eating outside Gazipur has also caused various diseases in my body. Especially the problem of gas is increasing day by day. However, for the last 4/5 months, I have become accustomed to eating home-cooked food again. I was at home for more than a month due to illness, as a result of which I was able to taste my mother's cooking every day. Then I joined the job in July. Since then, I have been living at my elder brothers' house in Dhaka. There, too, the family eats food cooked the same way, as a result of which there are no problems with food like before. In fact, the taste and food like home-cooked food can never be found in Gazipur. If we cook fish and meat at home, we can eat it as we wish, but there is no opportunity for that in Gazipur.

Again, you can eat more food at home if you want, if you tell your mother, she will cook your favorite food, if you don't like one dish, you can eat it with another dish. But this facility cannot be obtained in the mess. I have to eat what is cooked with my mouth. However, I have to return to the mess life again. Many of you know the reason for this. I will stay in Ghazipur again for 4/5 years if God allows me to because I got a chance at Duet University. From this month onwards, I have to come to Ghazipur 2/3 days a week. As a result, I have to come here and eat at my friend's mess. Seeing the food I had for dinner today, I thought I would share it with you. When I cook meat at home, I eat as much as I want. But you can never get more than one or two pitches of meat in the mess.

Tonight, Khichuri rice and chicken meat were cooked in the mess. The amount of Khichuri was about right and there was one pitch of chicken meat and one pitch of potatoes. If you calculate this food at the end of the month, you will see that the cost of each meal or meal is 50/60 taka. The reality of life is here, if you play a little better, then a heavy burden of money will be imposed on you. However, I have become accustomed to eating food in the mess for a long time, and I don't feel like eating anything else. That's why I named my post today Eat what you get.

My post today ends here. Everyone stay well and healthy. See you again with a new post of mine.

Thank you very much everyone for reading today's post.
