It looked like we might get some real rain yesterday morning but only ever managed a few sprinkles from all the clouds that came over. It had looked promising and at least the clouds kept the temps down a bit. At least it wasn't the 101 that is forecast for tomorrow...
I went to my session then stopped at the store on the way home as we were out of bread. I was home about 15 minutes when it finally decided to sprinkle.
My day consisted of sitting on the stool and processing garlic. It helped my body not be in too much pain having the seat and I was able to watch the Spain v France match as I worked.
Planted 2 pounds of Western Rose and got 8.5 pounds harvested.
I was VERY happy to see Spain beat France, sad Mbappe face just makes me happy. Now if England can get whooped by Argentina today I will be doubly happy.
I have done okay with many of the varieties so far, getting somewhat close to harvesting the number I planted of them. If I get within 90% I consider it good.
I got 100% with the Bavarian Purple, 59 planted and 59 harvested. Took the boys to town to meet @stryeyz at Panda for food and then they went to VBS after while I headed home.
Managed to get one more done and got 128 of 132 planted and my biggest weight so far of 8 pounds 14 oz. The Georgian Crystal are a KILLER variety.
The real heat is here and looking at 95F+ today and then 101 tomorrow. Trying to setup another irrigation job for this morning before it gets too hot, will work on garlic more, world cup match is on mid day, and will get boys to town for VBS this afternoon.
