This is a commonly used vegetable in the home kitchen. It is also widely used and is also a little expensive. I'm growing 13 varieties this year and will have 22 next year. Garlic is pretty expensive for the gourmet and I also love the minimal needs it requires. I plant it in fall, cut scapes in spring, then harvest in July. No daily work needed.
