Work work work
My boyfriend tends to work and never stops because he has a few people he has to manage and these work mostly when he's off or sleeping. They often mess up things and when it happens he gets called during the evening or worse, called out of bed, which can be very annoying. It often means that all of us feel stuck inside during the evening, not just him, because I need his help getting the stroller (and more importantly, the baby, lol) up and down the stairs thanks to my back issues.
I try to find the quiet moments (sometimes during the day) to ask his help in between tasks so that at least I can get out for a while and have a walk when the weather is nice but soon (summer temps are on the way) it will probably mean that I'm locked up inside with the AC on either way. During these months, it's even worse if you can't get out during the evening when this is supposed to be your free time. Oh well, I guess it's one of the downsides of being self-employed.
Opting for a day off
My boyfriend will not easily say he's taking a day off so I more or less pushed him a bit to take Easter Monday off as we both know the clients will be off in Holland, so he would be sitting inside waiting for the phone to ring most of the day, or doing internal work. Best to just take a day off instead. And I'm so glad he did because yesterday was THE best day in terms of temperature! It was 27 degrees Celsius and honestly, wayyy too nice to be inside all day!
Easter Monday isn't celebrated in Andalusia, it is in other parts of Spain, as far as I understood but here, kids go back to school after a busy "Semana Santa" or Holy Week filled with processes. It honestly was the perfect day to combine some quality time together and later on the day with both kids.
Market
I wanted to go to check the market here for a few weeks but don't really love going by myself with the baby so I said after you slept in a bit, let's go there and have breakfast somewhere. I woke him up at 11 as he could use the sleep, he took care of the baby that night and morning while I did our taxes and some laundry.
Luckily, I went to the store last week to get the baby some linnen pants and less warm clothing in general because it was no day to be out in the clothing I had for him for the past months. Not only did I grab a bunch of shorts and t shirts, but also made sure to get some layers in case of doubt about the weather. The parasol had first time duty on the stroller as well yeaterday.
The market only had a few stalls, probably because some people took the day off but I scored 3 big mangos for 1 euro! Can't get them this cheap in the supermarket so I was content.
Breakfast and some errands
Some toast for breakfast (no pictures, sorry, was just enjoying the moment haha) and dropping off a return package when the line was gone and I felt like the day was already productive enough. Then I had the idea to get the local citizens card as normally the boyfriend is not with us during working hours. We had to wait for a little bit but still had an hour left before school ended.
We had a little surprise there because not only were we able to grab these cards even without the oldest being with us, but also do we have 8 tickets each for the pool because when they implemented the new system some years ago, they still had us registered in that system from when we lived here before. Every person was gifted these tickets at the time. They are still valid, nice! I did not read great things about the pool and apparently they still have no way to buy any drinks (not even water) or food there, and apparently the ticket system does not work well either but we'll experience it this summer. It's nice to have some free tickets either way.
More sun cravings
When tapas time was about to end my boyfriend decided he wasn't done being out and about and opted for tapas. I said that's too late now but we may be able to find a place that has the kitchen open all day and enjoy some sun on their terrace. So we prepped the baby's stuff and drove to a place we visited whenever we visited our late friend before driving back for 1,5 hours. We never sat on the terrace though but I knew they have a nice outside space.

It was absolutely lovely sitting there, just a perfect temperature with a little wind, and the tapas they always serve for three, even though we only have one person ordering alcoholic beverages, are always great!

This time we had boullion and bread, sadly one of them was already consumed before I could grab my phone, haha. We enjoyed the bouillion mostly while the baby happily consumed the nice bread a bit while we ate.
Then we had Mexican tacos, I forgot the picture again, as we got served 4 each but as you can see, only one was left by the time I realized I didn't take a picture yet. It was thanks to my daughter saying it's not taco Tuesday, but taco Monday.

I loved them, until the evening fell, then we both had stomach issues and I realized it must have been the food as we both ate the same. Oh well.
We need more of these moments
Although the second part out was definitely not worth the money in the end, at least we had a few nice hours out as a family, no work thoughts and time to relax while the weather was fabulous. I'm going to see if I can convince him to do this a bit more often in the upcoming months while the weather is still bearable during day time.
I wish I could show you the family pictures as well, because our little one is not so little anymore and such a wise little guy. He's one with character, let me tell you! Time flies!
