Hello Hive Friends, most especially my beloved FOH Family! I hope this post finds you all in good spirits and full of energy. It always feels refreshing to share little slices of life with this community, and today I’m excited to tell you about a simple but memorable lunch we had yesterday.

Yesterday was my boyfriend’s rest day, and before he headed back to Manila just a few hours after lunch, we made sure to spend quality time together over food. He took charge in the kitchen and cooked two dishes that brought comfort and flavor to our table: corned beef with potatoes and ginataang pagi (flaked stingray in coconut milk). The combination was hearty and satisfying; the savory corned beef balanced perfectly with the creamy, slightly exotic taste of stingray simmered in coconut milk. To top it off, we paired everything with a glass of cold Coke, which made the meal feel complete and refreshing.

It wasn’t a grand occasion, but it was one of those meals that remind you how food connects us, not just to our loved ones, but also to our culture and community. Sharing this story with you, my FOH Fam, makes it even more special because I know many of you appreciate the joy of simple Filipino meals that carry so much heart.

Thank you for reading and for always being part of my Hive journey. Your support and presence make these everyday stories worth sharing. Until next time, let’s keep celebrating food, family, and community together!
