A fiesta in the Philippines occur annually in all barangay and town to foster unity and share blessings. It is also a cultural festivities like parades, dancing, music and abundants of food. And most of all honoring Catholic town's patron saints.
The night before the fiesta our barangay held a contest for "Barakong Magayon 2026". This is used as a title for make beauty pageants or talent showcase here in the Bicol region. "Barako" means here in Bicol is Strong, confident and masculine man while "Magayon" is Bicolano word for beautiful and charming.
This contest is not just for entertainment, it is also a celebration of confidence and beauty. Watching this kind of contest is really entertaining and fun.
