One late July afternoon, after an interesting and exhausting day where a Hive meetup was in the spotlight, the sun was slowly saying goodbye to the day over the river. It was still having its vibrant and positive summer vibe, but at the same time, it was calm and peaceful, maybe a bit tired too. You could almost feel the peace in the reflection of the trees in the water.

My company (@ph1102, @duskobgd, @bil.prag, @flurroland) and I found ourselves here at this branch of the River Danube almost by chance as it was on our way while we were returning to the city from nature. We stopped to rest and talk a little more, to round off the day.

The name of the restaurant where we stopped has a nice name - Plava Ruža. "Plava" means blue colour, and "Ruža" is a rose, a flower. Thinking about the name, I can't recall the last time I saw a blue rose. Anyway, I was fine with coffee as well, even without a flower in the cup... or without trying out this little boat. 😁

From the place we had our drinks, I saw some people on the beach on the other side, some fishermen, and in the distance some swans.

When I went down to the riverbank, the birds spotted me and headed toward the place I was standing.

I am sure they are used to people and expect food from them. Unfortunately, I had nothing to offer them so after some time of being there with me, they left disappointed.

While they were swimming in the area where I was, searching for some bites in the water, I took quite a lot of photos of them with my phone. Well, I am not a photographer, and my phone camera is nothing from the other world, so the photos are not spectacular. Just normal, I hope. 😅

Actually, I didn't know what I would do with them until I saw a post by @nelinoeva featuring the same type of bird in her post. She was announcing the "Show Me A Photo Contest Round 247" for this week. If I understand well, the topic is free for this week - you can post any bird. If you are interested in participating, you can check out her post.

Then I thought it was a nice reminder about these swan photos I took so they are coming here today, to the Feathered Friends community (although not as a part of the contest as I don't consider them as photos that could compete with real photographers' stuff).

Last greeting by the sun for that day. The swans swam away, we headed home and the clouds in the sky continued their smooth travel.
