I once cleaned the brass pipes and bronze fittings in an industrial kitchen until they glowed with that beautiful shine that only brass and bronze can have. It took quite a while, and I assumed the employer would learn from that expense not to have me do that again. Instead they literally handed me a toothbrush and told me to clean the grout lines between the kitchen tiles, about 2000 ft^2 of floor.
I found other work.
Thanks!
