In today’s world where social media is everywhere, checking in and taking photos has pretty much become part of everyday life. I often see people pulling out their phones the moment they walk into a newly opened café, attend an exhibition, or even just pass by a colorful wall. They snap a few shots and upload them right away. Honestly, I’m one of those people too. In my free time, I like to share some positive vibes through photos and document my life. I’m not expecting to gain huge popularity or chase traffic, but the more likes and interactions I get, the happier I feel.

Fancy vegetarian restaurants are also great for taking photos. They’re not just about food—they represent a sense of taste and lifestyle. For example, the 果然匯蔬食餐廳 I shared before has soft lighting and a simple yet stylish dining atmosphere that looks amazing in photos. On top of that, they carefully select seasonal ingredients and use refined cooking techniques, blending Eastern culinary traditions with Western plating aesthetics. This not only attracts vegetarians but also makes meat-eaters curious enough to give it a try. It’s even known as the “ceiling” of vegetarian buffets. A meal costs around NT$600+, and once those beautifully presented dishes are posted on social media, it easily draws a lot of attention and makes vegetarian lovers want to check it out for themselves.

That said, not every vegetarian buffet I’ve been to is all about aesthetics. There’s another place I’ve tried; there is no fancy presentation, no stylish décor, no Instagram-worthy plating. Instead, it focuses on simple, healthy cooking and affordable prices. And honestly, that’s why I keep going back.

Every time I visit, I load up on things that are usually more expensive at the market, like different kinds of mushrooms and seaweed. I go back for those multiple times. I also grab a lot of tofu-based foods like fried tofu and tofu skin, which I really enjoy. Sure, the fried items aren’t the healthiest, but they’re still pretty tasty. As for the stir-fried noodles, even though they look good, they take up too much stomach space, so I usually skip them.

If I think about it, the price of one meal at 果然匯蔬食餐廳 could get me about four meals at this place. In the end, I guess I just prefer these more down-to-earth vegetarian restaurants. They feel more real and fit my everyday life better.
